# Refer a company

> Introduce another company to Interchange and earn Intelligence Units after a successful referral

The customer referral program lets a signed-in Interchange customer introduce
another company to Scope3. You can submit a referral from **Refer a company** in
the account menu and follow its status on the same page.

## What to share

Submit one person at the referred company with their:

* name;
* work email;
* company name; and
* optional context about why the company may be a good fit.

Personal email addresses and referrals to your own company are not eligible.
Scope3 handles outreach and review; submitting the form does not itself earn a
reward.

## When a referral is successful

A referral becomes successful after Scope3 links it to a new, active
Interchange customer and confirms either:

* the referred company has started a paid plan; or
* the referred company is a buyer that has reached the agentic media-spend
  threshold shown on the referral page.

A customer can qualify for one referral reward, and the referring and referred
organizations must be different.

When the referral succeeds, the offer shown on the referral page is added to
the referring organization's shared Intelligence Unit wallet. Everyone in the
organization sees the same reward; it is not a personal balance.

The page shows the current IU amount and expiry period. Referral IUs have no
cash value, do not roll over, and can be used for IU-rated Interchange activity
available to your organization. Scope3 reviews eligibility and may change or
end the offer.

## Referral statuses

* **Submitted** — Scope3 received the introduction.
* **Qualified** — the company appears to be a fit and review is progressing.
* **Reward issued** — the company became an active customer and the IU credit
  was added to your organization's wallet.
* **Not eligible** — the referral did not meet the program rules.
