# Organization account capacity

> How package-backed account capacity controls additional account creation

## Availability

Additional account creation is available only when your organization's
accepted package includes an unused account slot. Eligible organization
administrators see **Add account** in the account selector. When capacity is
not available, Interchange does not show a creation or upgrade action, and API
requests fail without changing the organization or creating a partial account.

Some direct Advertiser packages include one account. Advertisers and connected
advertising-platform accounts do not consume organization account slots.

When creating an eligible Buyer account, **Operator domain** means the domain
of the organization operating that account. For a Seller account, **Company
domain** means the company operating the storefront; it initially seeds the
operator domain and remains separate from the storefront's public listing domain.

For the package-authorized API operation, see the Buyer or Storefront
`POST /api/v2/accounts/create-child` reference.
